FAQ
Straight answers, before you book a call.
No sales language. If the answer is "it depends," we say what it depends on.
MVP1, in general
What does MVP1 Ventures actually do?
We scale software companies that already have customers, and we automate the businesses that run on software without selling it. Either way, we stay accountable for what the work is supposed to achieve commercially, not just for shipping it.
Which track am I, software company or SMB?
Software companies need a product engineered to scale and transformed with AI. SMBs need the work itself automated. If you sell software as your product, you're the software company track. If software is how your business runs but not what you sell, you're the SMB track.
Who owns the code and IP after the engagement?
You do. Code, IP and assets are yours. We build it that way because owned assets don't just run cleaner, they lift your company's valuation, and that only works if you actually hold the assets.
Is MVP1 ISO 27001 certified?
Yes. Our Information Security Management System is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, covering the design, development, deployment, maintenance and support of custom software, SaaS, marketplace platforms, mobile applications and AI-driven automation. Certificate AMER501362.
What is the difference between MVP1 and BlackVault?
BlackVault is our venture for clients who cannot send data to a US-domiciled AI platform, government, healthcare and financial services. It's private, sovereign AI infrastructure that runs inside the client's own environment: the data never leaves, every action is logged, and the capability is owned rather than rented. MVP1 serves founders and operating businesses with product engineering and AI agents. Different buyer, different delivery model.
AI agents
Is this a chatbot, or does MVP1 build actual AI agents?
Not a chatbot bolted onto a broken process. We redesign the work itself, then build agents that carry it end-to-end, with your people reviewing, approving, and staying in control.
Where does a human fit in if agents are doing the work?
At sign-off. Your team reviews and approves what the agent has prepared. Decisions stay accountable, with a full audit trail.
What parts of my business can actually be automated?
Onboarding and intake, back-office operations like data entry and reconciliation, compliance evidence and reporting, customer support triage, and sales pipeline research and follow-up are the places we see the most hours recovered first. We map your specific process before recommending anything.
Platform & product engineering
How do I know if my platform needs stabilising?
Performance drops or outages as usage grows, every new feature breaks two old ones, security and compliance gaps you can't fully see, a codebase only one person understands (or no one does), and an MVP that got you to customers but can't get you to scale, those are the five signs.
Will stabilising disrupt my current customers?
No. The point is to stabilise the platform while it keeps running and serving customers, not to take it offline to fix it.
I built my product with ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable or Replit. Is that a problem?
Not on its own, it's a fast way to validate an idea. The problem shows up at deployment, security and scale, since AI-generated code is rarely production-hardened by default. We audit it, harden what needs hardening, and get it to a state that can carry real users.
What counts as "production-grade" engineering?
Architecture, security, and delivery discipline built for real load, not a demo that works until real customers show up. Every build carries full ownership: you hold the code and the IP from day one.
Getting started
I only have an idea, not a product yet. Is that too early for MVP1?
Not for this track. Our Accelerate Program de-risks the idea first, so when you do build, you build the right thing instead of guessing.
How does pricing work?
Every engagement is scoped first and priced second. Not a rate card, not an hourly rate that turns into a blank cheque. You know what you're getting, what it costs, and when it ships, before you commit.
Can I see real results, not just claims?
Yes. Real, verifiable outcomes on the Our Work page include an e-signature platform's monthly recurring revenue turnaround after re-engineering, a transport and logistics platform scaling from 3 to 12 centres, and an NDIS onboarding process cut from 7 to 8 hours down to under 90 minutes.
Do you have references or reviews I can check?
Yes, Google reviews are linked directly from the homepage, alongside named client testimonials, including Jamie at PleaseSign and Andrew Macdonald at Flout Software.
